Many tennis pros rest during the holiday season, spend time at home after months on the road, catch up on family news and friends, and forget about tennis for a few weeks. But Andy Roddick isn’t just another tennis pro, he devotes his precious off-time to his charity work, his tireless energy into raising money for a wide range of charitable recipients that are dear to his heart. Whether it is a food drive for the homeless, a scholarship for a promising student, or a smile for a bunch of needy kids, Andy is always out in front with his fellow tennis friends who join him in supporting their own charities and the ARF.

If you are looking for a gift for the tennis playing Uncle, the budding niece or nephew, or for yourself, then check out the merchandise that Andy has endorsed. Tennis balls with the US Open logo and Andy’s autograph, a new line of Andy T shirts, and the new 2009 Andy Roddick Calendar! And if you are close to any of the following cities in December be sure to buy a ticket to one of the charitable events he will be a part of. The Rock’n Racquets Tour along with Serena Williams, Caroline Wozniacki and John Isner will be in Louisville on Dec. 12th, Columbus S.C. on Dec. 13th, and Knoxville on Dec. 14th. The emcee for these events is Wayne Bryan, the famous Bryan Bros. Dad, and he will make sure you are entertained. There will be men’s and lady’s singles matches and a mixed doubles event.

Andy’s own ARF charity weekend is this coming weekend Dec. 6th and 7th at the Boca Pointe Country Club in Boca Raton Florida, and both the Bryan Bros. will be there and special tennis friend Venus Williams. The pro shop will have all the Christmas merchandise available, and in this informal surrounding you may have the chance to rub elbows with some of the players.
