Sharapova back in action.

Maria Sharapova will return to action in Hong Kong in an exhibition event that includes Jelena Jankovic and Venus Williams. January 7th-10th are the dates for 12 women to compete in a ‘friendly’ team challenge. Teams representing Europe, Russia, Americas, and Asia/Pacific will play in singles and doubles competition in a format that is similar to that of the Fed Cup, except that only the final will have reverse singles matches. The teams will each have three players, two WTA professionals and one future star.
Team Russia……Maria Sharapova, Vera Zvonareva, Alexandra Panova.
Team Europe…..Jelena Jankovic, Agnes Szavay, Michelle Larcher de Brito.
Team Americas. Venus Williams, Gisela Dulko, Coco Vandeweghe.
Team Asia………Zheng Jie, Sania Merza, Zhong Ling.
