Sharapova and Dulko in Chile for an exhibition.

Maria Sharapova visited Chile for the first time in her career, and played an exhibition match with Gisela Dulko in Santiago. Masha won 6-1, 6-3, but the score was of little importance compared to the enthusiasm their presence generated among the local people. In addition to the tennis, they attended a fashhion show, met with some future young tennis players and spread heaps of good will.
“I love designing. I love the fact that it’s very creative,” Sharapova told reporters on her visit to Santiago.”
“The world of tennis has opened up many doors in my career and I’ve been able to experience many of them and fashion is certainly one of them and I definitely hope that after my career I’ll be able to expand on that.” Maria will face Dulko again on Saturday in Sao Paolo, Brazil in the final match of the tour.
